Where are they now? Former Alleygators Junior- Lucas Goodin
Lucas Goodin played for the Alleygators from under 9’s in 2004 until the Under 17’s. After being runners up in 2008 he then played in premiership teams from Under 14 to Under 17.
He played for the Gold Coast Cyclones/Junior Breakers from 13s to 17s made the Qld Country side in 15s to 17’s and Queensland in 16s and 17s.
Lucas is now playing for Clive in Hawkes Bay in New Zealand and this year played for the Hawkes Bay Magpies in the NZ National Mitre 10 Cup along with the development team. Last year he played for North Otago in the Heartland competition.
It is great to see an ex junior excelling and we look forward to seeing Lucas playing on the big stage next season.
Senior Men’s Training
It’s time for our players to hit the training grounds. Van has begun training sessions Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm.
Don’t miss the bus! The season proper starts early March. More news from our Senior Head Coach next week.
The Junior Committee very generously organised and purchased a new BBQ for the club. The Under 14 Sausage Sizzle tasted even better because of it. Here is Junior President Kristy Smith handing over the keys to Club President Mark Doherty. A big thank you to Top Cut Meats for donating the sausages and to Currumbin Fair Bakery for donating the bread.
