Gold Coast Cyclones Trials

Well done to all our Gator Girls who trialled for the Gold Coast Cyclones U15’s and U17’s earlier in the season. Special mention to Zoe Hanna and Grace Granville on making the U15’s and to Zara Canfield for making the U17’s.

Well done Girls and we wish you the best of luck for the upcoming Qld championships on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th October at Bond University.

Volunteer of the week

This week’s ‘Volunteer of the Week’ goes to Liz Spittall who has been a long standing member at Alleygators for over 25 years.

Involved in organising social events in the early days of the ‘Toothless Gators’ Golden Oldies group and for many years after their formation. Liz continues to be a loyal and present member, who is always ready to contribute and volunteer.

Liz has been the Club’s ‘in house photographer’ for many years now, and does a fantastic job particularly at our special events like the Rugby Season Launch Night, the Ladies Lunch, Sports Lunch and of course Presentation of Trophies Night. This year she also captured some wonderful images at the Centenary of ANZAC Commemoration held at the Club earlier in the year. A true Club stalwart in every sense of the word, Liz is respected and loved by all who know her.
