Short Description: Started in 1933 on the banks of the Currumbin Creek, not far from our current location, a few horses & wagons, an old Republic truck & a Chev were purchased by Percival Sawtell.

Long Description:

The business at the time was mostly carting local produce from Currumbin Valley- bananas were delivered to Murwillumbah rail head & the cream cans were delivered to Norco at Boyd Street Tweed Heads.
The Dodge pictured below was purchased later in 1933. As well as delivering groceries, newspapers and other miscellaneous items to nearby farms in Currumbin Valley, on the weekends, seats were bolted to floor of the Dodge truck body and Currumbin residents were transported to the Coolangatta pictures for a cost of two shillings return.
