You may have noticed that the GCCC has made improvements to "the strip" in front of the club, enhancing access for council vehicles and reducing flooding. While some work is still ongoing, it's great to see progress being made.

There are also some upgrades happening within the kitchen, so it becomes more efficient:

• Double-decker warmer in the front server added
• Installation of a heat light system.
• New dedicated pizza prep station to ensure our handmade pizzas are the freshest tastiest pizza in town.
• Installing a large water tank out back.

There will be further upgrades throughout the year.

With the Rugby season coming up, it is great to see the number of Sponsors that have come on board and of course, welcome back our current Sponsors. We also would like to wish the best to all teams as they commence their pre-season in the coming weeks.

Seniors Training is Back in Full Swing!

The squad is back on the paddock, putting in the hard yards and shaking off the new season rust!

Training is on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6pm - 8 pm at The Swamp.
Great energy, solid commitment, and plenty of banter - just how we like it!

Whether you're a returning player or keen to get involved at our great club, we're searching for more players.

Our senior players are in need of a cheap, reliable car to help with transport to training and games. If you (or someone you know) have a vehicle you’re looking to sell at a reasonable price – or would be open to donating.

We’re not after anything fancy, just something that gets from A to B without too much drama- we’d love to chat!

Alleygators Senior Coaches for 2025

We’re pumped to announce our Senior Coaching Team for 2025! With a mix of experience, passion, and deep connections to the game, these leaders are ready to take our squad to the next level.

Senior Head Coach: Jack Moon
Returning after leading us back to 1st Grade in 2024, Jack is ready for a huge season ahead! With his Level 3 coaching credentials and unstoppable drive, Jack will guide our young squad on and off the field, building a team that’s ready to perform week in, week out.

Assistant Coach: Jason Croll
A newcomer to the Gators but no stranger to Rugby success, Jason will focus on developing our forwards into a powerhouse! He brings top-level experience from Cyclones Rugby and is on his way to becoming a Level 3 Coach.

Assistant Coach: Simon Rezo
A true Gators legend, Simon returns to the club with over 200 games in Green and White and even 2 Test caps for Croatia! Simon will sharpen our defense and contact areas with his incredible knowledge and attention to detail.

Alleygators Announce 2nd Grade Coach for 2025 – Shilou Hona.

We’re thrilled to announce that Shilou Hona has been appointed as our 2nd Grade Coach for the 2025 season.

Shilou is no stranger to the Alleygators family. Having spent years at the club as both a player and a juniors coach, he brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to the role. His recent success in guiding the GCDRU Under 17 Boys State 7s team to victory is a testament to his leadership and coaching ability.

With his deep understanding of the game and strong connection to the club, Shilou is the perfect person to take our 2nd Grade squad to the next level. 

Let’s get behind Jack, Jason, Simon and Shilou in 2025.

Gator Girls are back training and looking for new players to come along and get into rugby.
 

• Trainings are Monday nights 5.15 to 6.30pm- includes Gym session with Cam, then on field with Arlene. 
• Wednesday nights are 5.00 to 6.00pm on field bring boots and mouthguard.

Junior Tackle/Contact Clinics are back!  

Get ready, Junior Gators! Rugby is kicking off for our U8s to U11s players as we gear up for an exciting new season.
When: Friday nights, finishing this week

✅  Time: 5:00 PM – 6:15 PM
✅  Where: Field 2
✅ What to expect:
-  Tackle technique & evasion drills
- Breakdown skills & confidence-building
- Rugby-based games packed with fun!

Don’t forget: Players will need mouthguards, boots, and a big smile for all the fun and games ahead!
